  • 4 bone-in pork chops 1 inch thick
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch for thickening
  • Optional: 1 cup mushrooms sliced

  • Season pork chops with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
  • Layer onions, garlic, and optional mushrooms in the bottom of the slow cooker. Place pork chops on top.
  • Pour chicken broth over the pork chops.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-6 hours.
  • Whisk cornstarch with cold water and stir into the juices in the slow cooker. Add heavy cream and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until thickened.
  • Serve pork chops with the gravy and your favorite sides.
